Using my video blogging skills I’ve spent some time interviewing business leaders, owners and marketing managers across the Yorkshire region to find out how they have used social media to help their business.

Optimum Exposure will advise Sirius Engineering and HML to review their existing SEO and website content and train staff to gain more valuable and effective exposure.
I have been using Blogger for my platform for over 3 years and I have taken the decision to migrate my blog and website over to WordPress.
Over the 3 years I have been using Blogger, Google does not seem to have kept the softeware up to date with developments in Open Source Software. Wordpress has overtaken Blogger in terms of market share and functionality. Blogger is definitely the poor relation and has been neglected.
I cannot believe it is a year since I started my company; time sure flies when you’re having fun!
A milestone like this deserves some retrospection and reassessment of goals, strategy and marketing. As part of this honing of the business, I’ve rebranded the business as Optimum Exposure. (more…)
Enterprise and the entrepreneurial culture is growing in the UK, and schools, colleges and universities already recognise that they have an important part to play in stimulating an interest in enterprise. We need to build on that platform. In the warm up to the 2010 election campaigns, the future of Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) is becoming a hot issue. If the Conservatives win, the future looks cold for these supposed drivers of economic development and even under a Labour government serious reform and funding cuts seem certain. (more…)

The IoD Young Directors Forum presents ‘IoD Just Lunch’, a monthly lunchtime event to meet and network with fellow IoD Directors over a two-course lunch provided by the excellent restaurant at 3 Albion Place, the Leeds IoD member facility.
We hosted the first in our series of ‘Just Lunch’ networking events yesterday at 3 Albion Place, 12 – 2pm.
It was a group of members that attended, and for some their first networking event they have attended at the IoD and others it was great to catch up. (more…)
